My fitness journey didn’t start in a gym. It started with a decision to stop guessing and start measuring. After a competitive physique competition, I learned one hard truth: every body and every metabolism operates differently. So I ran my own PNOE metabolic assessment. My lung utilization came back at 100% - Excellent. My autonomic nervous system balance is at 77% - meaning my body recovers efficiently and handles stress well. Numbers I never would have known without the test.
Then came the number that changed everything.
My RMR: 2,554 calories burned at rest daily. On workout days, I burn over 4,200 calories. But what floored me was my fuel mix - 73% fat and only 27% carbohydrates at rest. My metabolism is already highly fat-adapted, meaning my body prefers to burn fat as its primary fuel source even when doing nothing.
That’s not common. Most people walk or run almost entirely on carbs. Knowing this told me exactly how to structure the timing of my nutrition, my training zones, and my path to 210 lbs and sub-12% body fat by November 2026 - not based on what works for the average person (like what is given for general CPT programs), but based on how my body is actually performing.
